I wish I was surprised about LTT. But given that Linus did what-aboutism about the west at the beginning of the Russo-Ukrainian War... It's the opposite of surprising. I stopped watching all of LTT's stuff after that.
Yo, this is like the third "the furries are fighting" content I have come across between podcasts and articles in the past two weeks. Is that community okay?
"If you are a public figure and you get in trouble, you will call me. You will write me a check for many, many thousands of dollars. And I will give you very banal advice like “Shut up and don’t say anything” and “All statements will be made by your lawyers” and “For the love of god do not run ads on your video apologizing for sexual harassment”."
This is up there with Jane Coaston's "...no one on the internet wants to help you commit crimes, it's always the FBI." in terms of solid legal advice.
Cringe was the first Contrapoints video I ever watched, it was incredibly good. She has a knack for getting to the heart of various social issues, even if I don't entirely agree.
The account promotion ads seem like they picked up lately and were some of the most annoying, since it was always some version of LinkedIn threadbro / AI newsletter / small business influencers.
On the other hand, sounds like they're replacing it with video, and nothing's worse than that.

Did not know that about LTT!

I found the tweet. I think it was when the west started to look into seizing the accounts and property of Russian oligarchs.

Matt I think you know the answer to that question. Context isn't even necessary.

I really appreciate creators who take their time and only release a few things a year, but they're all bangers
