What's happening with the Weekly Scroll and, most importantly, the Worst Tweets?

The Weekly Scroll will continue! It will be an adventure to see how a larger audience interprets the... looser, wackier feel of those weekly posts. But it's going to be continuing (perhaps with a new name?) nonetheless.

Worst Tweets, I have no idea to be honest. It will continue in some form, although I'm not sure if it actually fits inside The Argument.

I'll hold out hope for it. Maybe IMBW could host it for you?

What if we already subscribe to both?

Jeremiah Johnson's avatar

I'll double check, but I assume you're just going to be saving money!

FYI i was not converted over to a subscriber at the argument

I was wondering why my inbox was getting spammed with drivel from something I never subscribed to - looks like I found the answer. Very annoying.

I need that meme with the 'happy for you' kid that looks miserable. Great news, happy to see you're making strides and I hope this works out well!

As a reader, this is a downgrade for me as I'm not too interested in additional political writing (I consume enough of that as is) and while it's absolutely true that this is simply more free content, it is also something that clutters up my inbox and I'm slightly afraid that the cost of membership will go up.

So: Happy to see this, but a little afraid for the future.

Gah. I have mixed feelings about this.

Congrats. This is great news. I am happily paying for both though hopefully I'll save a few bucks.

It's a great fit. Now you just have to get Jeff Maurer (I Might Be Wrong) and Cartoons Hate Her to join. Also good fits and would put most of my substack reads in one place.

Congratulations, Jeremiah! What will happen to your paid posts here? How will we access them?

Can I have $40 back for the second half of my annual subscription

Any idea on the timeframe for integration?

Jeremiah Johnson's avatar

I think it’s happening later today, but will update if it takes much longer than that.

It seems like the subscription term carried over, but only as a "Complimentary" subscription (e.g. I have a Complimentary subscription expiring in November, which doesn't get recognized as a paid subscription).

…what happens if I’m already paying for both?

Jeremiah Johnson's avatar

Then you'll be saving money once we merge!

Congrats! Excited to follow the next chapter of your work

Congrats on the gig, Jeremiah! It’s one of the most important projects anywhere and a perfect fit for you.

I was already a passive consumer of the Argument but after clicking on this post my feed became 80% The Argument / Jerusalem lol

Congrats Jeremiah, see you over there!
