The Mr. Beast situation reads a little bit like the Chris Pratt situation in the past two or so years in that we are approximately six months away from a hot take article that explains his "sudden fall from grace" to an audience of engaged dozens while 99.9% of folks have no idea what the article is talking about and he continues to reap kudos from normies, gain vast wealth, and attract tens of millions of eyeballs. I'm not saying they are anything alike in terms of personality or goals, but just in the story arc of the internet.
That said, I recently read two things on the BirdApp that I cannot forget:
1) That Jimmy's thumbnail photos all have a weird AI-CGI effect to them that is borderline in the uncanny valley.
2) That the person he most seems like is Hank Scorpio, of Simpsons fame.

Admittedly his thumbnails are mildly deranged. But they're also A/B tested like *crazy* so it must be what gets people to click.
